Logged at 10:25am on November 18th, 2009 by Jay
Daniel Defense was proud to be one of the sponsors of this year’s American Heroes Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada. The competition involved several stages including Obstacle Course, Search and Rescue, Shoot house, both Indoor and Outdoor Marksmanship, and Cross Fit. There were several teams that competed from all genre of Law Enforcement. In the end, King County SWAT out of Seattle, Washington separated themselves as the winners in a tight competition. Of note, the winning team’s rifles were equipped with the Daniel Defense Lite Rail. Proceeds from the event will go to the building of a Veteran’s War Memorial in Las Vegas. Daniel Defense donated a DDM4 Carbine to each winner. Below is a letter of appreciation Brian Gilbert the Director of US Commercial Sales sent to Mike Millett. Mike spearheaded the event.
Mike, I want to thank you for allowing Daniel Defense to be a part of such an extraordinary event like the American Heroes Challenge. The public and industry response was phenomenal, and everyone I interacted with felt the event was very professional and well run. I particularly appreciate the thought put into vendor participation. I felt well taken care of by your staff, and the event turned out to be a fantastic place to showcase our products and gain brand awareness. In addition, on an intrinsic level, it was wonderful to be a part of a cause that is close to both our hearts. Often time in our country, the wrong type of influences are portrayed as icons, but you and I both know the original American icon was the servicemen and service women who dedicated their lives to protecting the very freedoms we enjoy. This fact is why we wanted to be a part of the American Heroes Challenge, and we will continue to support your endeavor to bring the true heroes to the forefront of our society and culture. In the future, I would encourage any of our industry partners to be a part of such a great event. Thank you again for making a difference. Sincerely, Brian Gilbert
