Known for a decade for providing industry leading solutions for the tactical market, Daniel Defense was presented the challenge of producing a lightweight AR variant for the avid hunter. After considering numerous options in popular hunting calibers, the 6.8 SPC proved to fall in line with the Daniel Defense motto “Lighter, Stronger, Better.™” The Ambush™ 6.8 by Daniel Defense packs a lot of take down power in a package designed to be mobile. The heart of the Ambush™ is a Cold Hammer Forged 16″ Barrel chambered in 6.8SPC, and it is finished with an interior hard chrome lining with heavy phosphate exterior coating. As shooters have come to expect from Daniel Defense, no rifle would be complete without the ability to add custom accessories, and the Ambush™ is no exception. The Ambush™ comes equipped with a new full length free float tube, which offers the user the ability to adapt the rifle to fit their needs. A customizable accessory package allows the shooter to choose from a variety of fore end hand grips. Also, the shooter has several adjustable sections of 1913 picatinny rail to mount accessories with their preferred set-up.
